    He followed and respected all religions equally, he didn't in his lifetime showed more respect for some particular religion. He did quote many things from the Bible, like the "turn the other cheek", being respectful to your enemies, the movement of non violence itself and many more. That showed that he was in fact influenced by christian religious doctrines.
