    B.) It called for European nations to grant independence to all of their colonies in the Americas ie it did not do this. Once the US independence was achieved from the British, sometime in the 1800's, it became US policy to consider the countries of Latin America (many of which had already achieved independence from Spain and Portugal) to be its' backyard and therefore subject to military intervention if the policies of these countries did not favor the US such as in trade and the US did not allow other for example European powers to have much influence there.
