If erosion did not occur series of rock formations will not occur or will be non-existent. This just means that the Earth will remain stuck in its original composition which in turn will hamper the rate of evolution. Without erosion, mountains will not be built, sea beds will not rise, new land forms will not be created, and ultimately the cycle of life would be in chaos. Erosion is the process of weathering of rocks that occur through time, it is a major contributor into the constant process of change that the environment goes through. Without it, Earth would become a barren desolate place that will not be capable to sustain life.
