Is velocity and distance the same?

    No. I'm sure you understand what 'distance' is.

    'Speed' is the rate at which distance changes.

    'Velocity' is the rate at which distance changes, and

    the direction in which it changes.

    Example:

    If a ball is rolling around and around and around a circular track,

    let's say once around every 3 seconds, then its speed is not changing,

    but its velocity is changing constantly, because in order to move in a

    circle, its direction has to constantly change.

    Nope! Velocity is how much speed changes and average speed there is in a certain distance
