Most countries in Latin America experienced political instability and military rule.

In general, Latin American governments have been unstable and corrupt. This is largely due to interference from other countries, namely the US, which has historically placed certain leaders in charge who will make advantageous economic deals with the US at the cost of the people's living conditions in Latin America.
