How does increased travel unite Europe?

Increased travel means that on the one hand the people who travel get to experience other cultures and be more familiar with the other countries and on the other hand it also means that the people who live in their home countries would get to know people from other cultures too - this all contributes to people being better connected and knowing each other - or, in other words - united.
