    Mexico's political structure differs from that of the United States because there exists three branches of government. the vice president does not serve under the president. There exists a multi-party electoral system, the president heads the government.

Mexican presidents can be reelected based on outstanding job performance. Mexican presidents cannot be reelected after serving six years, regardless of job performance.
