The Parthenon is located in modern-day Athens, Greece. Athens is both the capital and the largest city in Greece. The Parthenon was dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena, who was said to overlook the city of Athens. It is a cultural emblem and also represents democracy and of Ancient Greece as well, so it carries a bit of old and new. It is currently being restored, but still sits atop overlooking the capital. The Parthenon is to this day one of the most famous temples in the world.
