Explain why tsunamis can do far more harm than earthquakes?

Tsunamis can destroy homes and people. Earthquakes just move things but doesn't destroy homes well very rarely they do. Earthquakes just shakes the earth and thats it. Tsunamis are very dangerous is can kill people people who are driving cars with babies inside the parents can died and the baby has to be a homeless kid if it has no otger knowed family.
