Did Athens ever fight Sparta and who had more freedom

    They did go to war, and in my opinion, Sparta had more freedom because women were allowed to have an active part in government and life, whereas Athenian women weren’t allowed out of the house besides for visiting friends and going to funerals.

    Athens and Sparta had fought against each other in the First Peloponnesian War, but Athens had no major land battle victory over the Spartans in that conflict.
