In 1848 elizabeth cady stanton and lucretia mott organized the seneca falls convention to address the issue of equal rights for women. the convention produced a declaration of sentiments, which laid out a list of injustices done to women by men. given your knowledge of the first wave of the women's movement, what do you think was first on their list?

    I think the answer would be suffrage. In the past, many Quakers do not allow women to vote. Discrimination between the two gender had been one of the biggest issues aside from racism. Stanton and Mott had convened in the Seneca Fall Convention in order to tackle the rights of many women all over the country. They were not able to get their rights immediately but the convention was a good start.
