During the Revolutionary War (1775 - 1783), at the time of Renaissance, the pharmacy and the medicine was separated. It was Benjamin Franklin's move by founding the Pennsylvania Hospital that separate the two. He believed that medicine practitioners should be able to focus in making only drugs on a daily basis.
