immigration policy maintained the control of the number of immigrants to US until 1960. in 1965, the Immigration and Naturalization Act also known as Hart-Celler Act, abolished (removed the limit), and more people around the world, such as Asia, Africa, and Latin America, but not Europe, were able to enter the United States under the new law.
