Hideyoshi was one of the revered Japanese emperors in the history. During his reign, he meddled with religious affairs such as forbidding Christian activities in Japan as well as the transfer of Jesuits on another places. He relented for Jesuits for a certain period but when the sector meddled with politics, he ordered executions. This sparked revolts and chaos.
