    Basically, having suffered losses and making questionable decisions, he was exiled to Elba, and island. The hundred days is a known period of time when he returned form exile and ruled again and during this time there was the Waterloo campaign. Waterloo was a battle where he lost and this is a famous battle because it was his ultimate downfall. After the hundred days the monarchy was restored under new leadership and he ended his political career.
