What was the supreme court ruling in worcester v. Georgia, and why did president Jackson not enforce it?

    The court case maintained that states of America could not impose their rules upon Native American lands,

    but Jackson was unwilling to respect or recognize the sovereignty of the Indian tribes and believed that they as lesser individuals fell under his jurisdiction and were therefore subject to his laws like other citizens (though he denied them of many rights a normal citizen would be entitled to).
