The Arab Springs was basically a series of uprisings across the Middle East which had started because people were not happy with life socially, economically, and politically. People in the Middle East were hit with high rates of unemployment, were skeptic of the effectiveness/legitimacy of their dictating rulers, economic hardship, etc. There are many factors that contributed to its failure but one factor that stood out to me the most was the fact that this "revolution" lacked a leader. Winning a revolt without a leader is next to impossible. A leader poses as an inspirational figure that can motivate those fighting toward greater accomplishments. What can you do without that?
