    Not sure how specific you want your answer, but i’m taking apush rn, so i’ll do my best. colonists believed in self-governing, meaning that they wanted town meetings and to decide their own laws. obviously, they weren’t super into the whole monarchy parliament thing. they believed in a land run by the people, not one specific person, and that representation in the law was important. let me know if you need any more info!
