    This is because the standard of living in capitalist continues to go up throughout the years. This idea was explained in the theory Social Darwinism where people continue to thrive to climb the up the social classes. Marx thought socialism would be able to stop capitalism but because of the constant class struggle had caused people to continue to go up the social ladder.
