What factors constrained and guided u. s. actions in asia and in latin america?

    The United States had minor influence in Asia and Latin America. As a result, America was frail in the Pacific region. Since Franklin D. Roosevelt wanted access to the two oceans, he decided to align himself with Japan. And also, t he United States had only little leverage in the continents of Latin America and Asia.
