The Ku Klux Klan was a secret society formed by veteran members of the Confederate from Tennesse. These members had been growing irked by recent changes in laws that provided better and more rights to people, especially of African-American origin. To reverse these laws, the Ku Klux Klan was formed, which quickly grew as a fraternity group. The group used violence and intimidation to try to nullify the laws being applied towards African-American people.
