    Because, after the revolution, when Britain was "defeated," shall we say, they united the states.

    So it wasnt just the 13 colonies anymore, it was all united into one nation.

    And hes saying that no king will ever rule again

    No one of great divine power like a king

    And hes basically saying oh hey, let me take over
