    The four pillars of democracy are equality before the law, full access to public libraries, the citizen's freedom and voting rights. These pillars were established by the founding fathers and support the idea that democracy has at its base the freedom of the citizen, and the right to vote. Moreover, all citizens are equal before the law, and all citizen should be able to inform themselves.
