According to Dubois, what were the shortcomings of the Atlanta Compromise? What was compromised, and why? What consequences did the compromise have for black American?

    Dubois believed that the "compromise" was bad for African-Americans because they should have fought for their rights instead of just accepting racism in exchange for education. What was compromised was their civil rights and their human dignity. The consequences was stronger racism because the African-Americans were taught not to oppose it.
