Armistice is an agreement to stop fighting and reparations are the payments that the loser has to pay to the victor to cover the war costs. Germany had accepted their defeat, and as a result, the Germans overthrew the government and created a social democracy and agree to sign an armistice with the allies. As the losers, they were required to pay reparations for the war, and this hatred fueled WW2 later on.
