    Neutrality Acts

    Passed in 1935, it was the first of such an act, and prohibit the sales and export of weapons to any foreign countries that were at war. It also required that all arms and ammunition manufacturers to apply for an export license. It also warned that its citizens who would travel on belligerent ships would do it on their own, and thus discouraged it.
