Why did rene descartes disagree with the concept of dualism?

    He disagreed with it because he didn't believe that the two existed on a separate level, but rather that the body is more like a husk and that the mind is connected to it through some sort of a link and that the mind controls the body. Without the mind, the body wouldn't do anything or wouldn't even exist.
