Which of these is an excuse used by the United States after World War II for not stopping the Holocaust immediately? The United States did not want to get involved with caring for or relocating the Holocaust survivors. The United States did not want to lose Middle Eastern allies as a result of aiding the Holocaust victims. Due to the isolated locations of most of the camps, military forces could not reach the death camps immediately. Military leaders claimed that they were aware of the concentration camps, but could not get approval from the President for their liberation
