In what ways was Germany forced to make amends for the outbreak of World War I?

    During the Paris Peace Conference after World War I, Germany was told to make "reparations" or amends for the wrong they have done. Germany was told they had to make payments in cash or in kind. Germany was told to pay the most reparations ($12.5 billion).
