What attempts did england make to regulate its colonies between 1660 and 1700? what moved the mother country to consider regulation at this time, and how was it enforced?

    It used the Navigation Act to protect its trade and secure its resources. It started to monopolize trade by controlled economic measures. It did not allow the colonies to trade in other countries except on England. Thus, it strengthened its political and economic hold among the colonies.
