    After the conclusion of the first World War, the signing of the Treaty of Versailles created several nations as a result of dissolving and breaking up the empires. They were Austria, Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania.
