What were the advantages and disadvantages the Native Americans had when the early settlers arrived in America?

Advantages: They knew the surrounding areas like the back of their hands and at first Native Americans outnumbered the early settlers.

Disadvantages: The Native Americans were severely outgunned with early settlers bringing weapons like guns the Native Americans were using Bows, Tomahawks, Spears very archaic weapons.
