In 1532, Francisco Pizarro (a Spanish Conquistador) arrived at the Incan Empire of Peru as part of the Spanish conquest. Spanish soldiers under his command were victorious during the Battle of Cajamarca. The fighting lasted for decades and ended with victory in favor of the Spaniards.
