Why did the northern part of Carolina develop more slowly than the southern part?

The northern part spent much of its profits on the purchase of slaves to work in the lumberyards.

The northern part lacked harbors and rivers on which ships could travel easily.

The southern part was limited in its crops to tobacco.

The northern part had much conflict with Native American groups who opposed settlement.

    North blew all of its money on slaves so instead of a bunch of white people close together in the state you had hella plantations and slaves that were spread out
