Why did the cotton gin lead to slaves becoming more valuable than without the cotton gin?

    The cotton gin allowed quick efficiency with processing cotton. The seed removal process was made quicker and this allowed slaves to pick more cotton. More slaves would mean more cotton to be picked and more of it to be processed which would increase revenue.
