How can the judicial system provide a check on the legislative branch

    The legislative branch creates bills, which are what laws are called before they're signed by the President. But the really cool thing about the judicial branch is that it can look at laws and compare them to the Constitution, to determine whether those laws are constitutional (follow the Constitution).
