What crisis did Dwight Eisenhower use the Eisenhower Doctrine to justify a military response to a communist threat?

    I believe the answer is Suez Crisis.

    Eisenhower Argued that if the Communist countries able to control this region, they could control the largest oil reserve that exist in this world, which would become a danger for United states safety in the future.

    He used this argument to justify the military response.
