Who was Muhammad Ali, and why was he a significant figure?

    He was an overall just polarizing figure either that be in or out side of the ring, widely regarded as one of the best (if not the best) heavy weight champion. One of the bigger reasons for his significance was that he refused to fight in the Vietnam War thus he was stripped of his boxing titles. So essentially he was not afraid to speak his mind regarding things he believed in.

    He was a professional Heavy boxer, poet, abolitionist, Muslim, no Vietnam drafted soldier, he fought for the Black people and that is why he is a significant figure.
