How was the philippine-american war different from other wars that americans had fought previously it was fought by a strong navy. it lasted longer than any other american war. the americans suffered heavy losses?

    Unlike most wars this war was actually started by accident, and the Americans did not have a substantial military force there yet the navy was used because of this plus its was quite common for Philippe natives to dig tunnels, as japan would in WW2
