The founding fathers saw what the government was like in England at the time of the American Revolution. They didn't want their government to be a replica of England's Parliament. The American government is made, by, and for the American people. The founding fathers wanted the rights of individuals to be protected and wanted more equilibrium between the states. Overall, the founding fathers wanted the government to be balanced because it wasn't like what was in England at the time. If all parts of the government were balanced evenly, no one would be able to become too powerful.
