Why was the battle of bunker hill a technical victory for the British but a real victory for the patriots

    The British technically won the Battle of Breed's hill (A. K. A Bunker Hill) because the Patriots ran out of ammunition. The patriots had the real victory because of two things: 1, they proved to the world that they were a force no to be played with. 2, the British lost many, many more men than the Patriots did that day.
