    Before the defeat of the Armada in 1588, Spain was dominant and super-power country in Europe. They would have been the most powerful European country for many more years. But after defeat, their economy took a turn to worst and England become the powerful country. The defeat of Spain was due to several factors, one of them was the weather and severe storm changed the history and defeated the Spanish Armada. The victory of England was also significant because it destroyed Spanish domination of the seas.
