What were the characteristics of dual federalism when did the period of dual federalism come to an end?

    The main characteristic of the dual federalism idea is that the state and the federation both have their own set of laws and the power is divided between the two governments. It ended before world war 2 when Roosevelt started implementing New Deal policies and expanded the power of the federal government.
