What limits are placed on the Supreme Court to ensure it never possesses too much power?

    The Constitution has limited the Supreme Court to handling "controversies" and "Cases" only. That is which the Court should not give advise or opinions; rather it is limited to giving decisions on cases at hand. The Court Justices must exercise discretion especially that there are over 6000 cases file in court each year.
