Describe the two major battles of 1863 that did the most to demoralize the south and hasten the end of the civil war.

    The correct answer should be the Battle of Gettysburg which happened in Pennsylvania, and then in July happened the Fall of Vicksburg in M ississippi. These two battles discouraged the confederacy and showed that the war was almost over. Soon after the confederacy surrendered because they could no longer fight the war.
