Why did western Europeans expand out of their geographical confines to explore, conquer, and colonize the Americas?

    Because the competition to obtain resources in European Continent was extremely harsh, considering there were many major players involved (such as British Empire, Spanish empire, the French Empire, etc)

    As a solution, the European seek to found resources to other region and American region provides a wide variety of 'unclaimed' resources that they're hoping for.
