    I believe the answer is Secessionists/Confederates

    Secessionists/Confederates believed that the African American people did not possess similar right to obtain human treatment just like other majority did

    They deliberately violate the freedom to live that became the basic foundation of this country and therefore disavow their loyalty to united states by trying to separate their states with our nation.
