Which act was passed in 1809 to replace the embargo act and what did it entail

    March 1809, Congress repealed the Embargo Act of 1807. Jefferson signed the repeal before he left office. The Embargo Act was replaced by the Non-Intercourse Act, which didn't allow trade with only Britain and France.
