Large debts resulting from the French and Indian War contributed to tension between Britain and the colonies which led to the American Revolution.

In order to fund the French and Indian war, Britain requires the colonies to pay a huge amount of money for a 'protection fee'.

This make the colonies feel insulted and undermined by the Britain, which eventually led to the American Revolution
