Why can sunlight be blinding when it shines on snow

    The white snow is a reflector so when the sun is out light is reflected off of it.

    I wouldn’t say blinding but That means more harmful ultraviolet rays are directed into your eyes. Winter or summer, hours of bright sunlight can burn the surface of the eye, causing a temporary but painful condition known as photokeratitis
